What is it?
Active ingredient: 1 milliliter of eye drops contains 5 mg Loteprednol Etabonate (0.5%) and 3 mg Tobramycin (0.3%). Excipients: Benzalkonium Chloride, Glycerin, Tyloxapol, Povidone, Disodium Edetate, Sulfuric Acid, Sodium Hydroxide, Water for Injection. Zilotra is used to treat superficial infections in the eye caused by susceptible bacteria or inflammatory conditions that pose a risk of infection. Your doctor may prescribe Zilotra to treat bacterial conjunctivitis of the eye. Bacterial conjunctivitis is an infection caused by bacteria in the area called the conjunctiva, which covers the front surface of the eye and the inside of the eyelids. The disease manifests with symptoms such as redness of the affected eye, swelling of the eyelids, inflammatory discharge, crusting, and sometimes pain. Shake the bottle well before use. Instill 1-2 drops into the conjunctival sac of the affected eye (inner side of the lower eyelid) every 4-6 hours. In the first 24-48 hours, you can instill 1 drop every 1-2 hours. Depending on the observed improvement in clinical symptoms, the frequency of instillation should be gradually reduced. Safety and efficacy have not been evaluated in pediatric patients. No differences in safety and efficacy have been observed between elderly and younger patients. Storage conditions: Store Zilotra in its original packaging and out of reach of children. Store at a temperature below 25 C. After opening, it should be used within 30 days, provided it is stored at a temperature below 25 C.
