What is it?
Dimedrol Composition: 1 ml of solution contains: Diphenhydramine hydrochloride 10 mg; Active substances: Diphenhydramine hydrochloride; Excipients: Sodium dihydrogen phosphate, sodium hydroxide, water for injection; Indications for use Anaphylactic shock, urticaria, hay fever, serum sickness, hemorrhagic vasculitis (capillarotoxicosis), polymorphous exudative erythema, Quincke's edema, pruritic dermatoses, itching, allergic conjunctivitis and allergic diseases of the eyes, allergic reactions to medications, chorea, Meniere's disease, post-operative vomiting. Method of administration and dosage The preparation is recommended for adult patients intramuscularly and intravenously by drip infusion. The preparation should not be administered subcutaneously due to its irritating effect. For intramuscular administration, the single dose is 10-50 mg (1-5 ml), maximum single dose - 50 mg (5 ml), maximum daily dose - 150 mg (15 ml). Intravenous administration of the preparation is carried out by drip infusion at a dose of 20-50 mg (2-5 ml) of Dimedrol in 100 ml of 0.9% sodium chloride solution. The duration of treatment depends on the achieved effect and the patient's tolerance to the preparation. Children. The preparation should not be used in pediatric practice. Contraindications Hypersensitivity to the preparation. Bronchial asthma attack, pheochromocytoma, epilepsy, congenital prolonged QT syndrome or prolonged intake of drugs that can prolong the QT interval, angle-closure glaucoma, prostatic hyperplasia, stenosing gastric and duodenal ulcer disease, bladder neck stenosis, bradycardia, cardiac rhythm disturbances.
